Novak Djokovic Wins Historic 23rd Grand Slam Title

Victory over Casper Ruud Secures Record-Breaking Triumph

Djokovic Overcomes Nadal's Reign in Classic Semi-Final

Paris, France - Tennis legend Novak Djokovic has cemented his status as one of the greatest players of all time with a remarkable victory over Casper Ruud in the French Open final. Djokovic's 7-6, 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 triumph on Sunday marked his record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title, surpassing the previous record held by Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams.

The 36-year-old Serbian star faced a stern challenge from Ruud, but his experience and resilience proved too much for the Norwegian. Djokovic's victory also makes him the only male player to have won all four Grand Slam titles at least twice.

Djokovic's triumph is particularly significant given that he had to overcome a difficult draw that included a thrilling four-set semi-final win over world number one Rafael Nadal. Nadal, who has won the French Open a record 14 times, was bidding to extend his streak and close the gap on Djokovic in the Grand Slam race.
